Close to Times Square

Pros: Reception area excellent. Most staff as helpful as they could be. Some had no English at all,
Cons: Housekeeping is an unmitigated disaster and needs urgent attention.
Location: Location O.K. although a lot of taxi drivers don't know the Hotel. Near Times square and a few restaurants.
On entry to the room the carpet was not vacuumed, hairs all over the bathroom, only small amount of toilet paper in bathroom. There was not a day went by without us having to ring reception and get toilet paper!! The cups were dirty on arrival with one having a chipped rim, table had not been wiped properly in room and quite a lot of dust everywhere, Room fridge not working and had to be replaced. There was no information brochure provided in the room throughout our entire stay. On going down to breakfast on the first morning we discovered that there was no charge back facility in this hotel and everything had to be paid for on a cash-as-you-go basis. Weird!! The Brasserie was only open for breakfast with no lunch or dinner service, and the Mingles Bar was never opened at all apart from a private function being held there one evening during our stay The actual Brasserie was beautifully appointed and very well designed and it is difficult to understand why it was not used to it's full potential.

Cons: Traffic is terrible on peak hours
