After a long drive from San Diego we were so thankful to be able to check in early before our concert later that night. Check in was friendly as well as the lady at the food counter. The construction on the roof was loud, but front desk did communicate what was going on upon check in and there were signs as well. Our room felt safe and was clean.

Good and miss opportunity for great service

The receptionist was good and prompt in greeting us and getting us into the rooms. We enjoyed the pool as it was clean and heated. So it was great experience. The really sad parts was the layout of the room it really ackward. The TV is off to the side of the room where you can't lay down on the bed and watch the TV. The bathroom size was on the smaller size given our room is business with king size bed. The towel's quality was mediocre. Definitely not Hilton quality. At the night we stayed, the power went out due to some electrical fuse blow out, we were out with no light, no AC, nothing for a really long time. How could this size of hotel has no backup generator is beyond.

Checked into our room and the bed was unmade, wet towels on the floor, trash was not taken out and smelled like smoke. I’ve stayed at Marriotts before and has always been great but this was so far from what I expected. The power went out around 9pm for 10 minutes and was the icing on the cake. I get things happen but certainly was not impressed with this Marriott location at all.

The hotel is nice and the staff is great. However, on my stay, the power went out at around 8:30pm. I just went to bed and thought that maybe the power will come back at some point in the evening and maybe the power is just out for the block or for a couple of blocks (it happens in Torrance). I woke up at 2am and the power was still not back. I decided to leave and get on my road trip, and, as i left the hotel, i found out that it was only the hotel that did not power while the rest of the block and the neighborhood was ok and had power all night. As hotel guests, we were never advised about the issue or advised on how long the problem was going to be. It totally put a damper on my stay.
