Filthy bathroom, junk yard in the back of the hotel in the car park. Hard uncomfortable bed. Dirty swimming pool. No room service. No clean towels provided when requested. No case stand. I will not stay here again The one good thing was a male receptionist who greeted me at night and cheerfully carried my cases. The rest didn’t seem interested in customers.

The room was filthy, the carpet and skirting boards were rotting and mouldy. The bathroom had cracked tiles, mould and old hair in the corners, the busy street facing window was broken and wouldn’t close And all the wall, to and mirrors had dirty finger marks all over them! I requested a room change but any hope of something better soon faded as we were greeted with a carbon copy! Don’t stay there, it a slum!

Toothbrush in the shower bathroom. No body lotion in the shower. Long life milk was off lumpy in coffee. Bed clean and comfortable. Location good.

Staff were amazing! There was almost no tv reception in our room. The hot water was almost non existent and when in the shower the warm water was a drip. Room itself was clean but the bathroom looked mouldy and old. Not worth the money we paid!!

Good room...however didn't appreciate having to put a 50 dollar down payment....not stipulated here. Did not receive a welcome email or SMS for my expected arrival. Also this site said 12 noon to leave but was told 10am...spoke to the service desk and they said they would change it....an unprofessional and ignorant answer. Air con was good...needs a microwave...fridge was not the best and kept on icing up.

Our stay was for 5nights, walking into the foyer which was modern neat and tidy, staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the second floor on an outside balcony overlooking the pool, this part of the hotels exterior still held its 1960’s charm. All looked good until we got into our room, we were hit with the smell of stale cigarette. This room was nothing like the pictures on the website, the bathroom is old with mould & rust on the bathtub, toilet brush was rusty, needed to be thrown out. The fridge constantly leaked water which we had to keep cleaning up. No room service unless you requested it, staff were more than willing to fulfil any requests. There was duck poo around the pool which was not cleaned up for days. The tables and chairs around the pool needed a good wipe down. The place needs a daily clean up. Being a gold member of hotels.com I actually expected to get maybe one of the upgraded rooms at the front of the hotel. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable, there was a kettle with coffee & tea provided, the hotel is close to tram stops, across the road is a lovely park for walking. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor which we thoroughly enjoyed, l highly recommend. I was glad I was able to use their guest laundry which was handy as staying five nights. If you’re staying here request one of the upgraded rooms.

The hotel is at a great location if you are visiting the Zoo. The restaurant downstairs (Moja Duck) is fantastic. The room and amenities are fine. However, WORST bed I've slept on. Or rather, TRIED to sleep on. It was like lying on wooden floorboards.

Well the hotel didnot provide any daily room service. Bins not emptied daily basis. Room was not vacuumed daily basis. Shower head too small to have a bath. Beds were tidy when room was handed over to us. The arm chair was dirty when we entered the room. Air con turns off after a few hours of use, all options of the air-conditioning remote don't work.

Really great location for zoo and public transport into the CBD. Room and bathroom weren’t very clean upon arrival but it was fine enough to stay in. Staff friendly and great to have parking on site.

Curtains in the bedroom were not properly installed so the sunlight came in unabated. street/parking lot facing room had no barrier from outside noise. Staff didn't seem knowledgable about the facility and the night staff was especially rude when asking if there was any drinkable water on the premises. vending machine was out of order and not stocked. Otherwise, bed was comfortable and the checkout process was smooth.

Staff were lovely. Rooms were clean and fresh, Gentle sound of the trams rolling by helped me sleep. Easy to get a tram to groove Brunswick street. Same to get to the city which is only a few blocks away.
