My first choice in Monterey! I am a repeat customer here, so this review comes after over three years of staying here probably around 50 nights over the three years. I come back here because the staff is family operated, and their computers save my preferences, since some rooms don't work for me, but it's in their system so every time I call, they know what rooms I prefer. They just did a remodel, and the price is still very competitive!

Room 28 should not be a rentable room,it is extremely confined, room is stuffy with 2x2 opening as a window and a inoperable window unit, no sort of daylight and all the noise transfers from the lobby right below this room. I doubt it legally meets codes as a rentable room it didnt even have a room number its just the room “next to 27”. It was definitely a storage room that they slapped a shower and threw a bed in.
