Rooms were clean, however furniture in rooms was pretty old and dingy. You can tell the hotel is older but seems like they have done some upgrades in bathrooms. The staff was awesome! Michelle was extremely sweet and accommodated our request to another room when the people above us with kids were too loud. The location is fantastic and close to a lot of venues with much to do.

We had a wonderful four night stay in a room overlooking the harbor. The balcony was lovely in the morning as we drank our coffee and ate a free continental breakfast that is delivered to your room at the time that you wish to have it there. On a few special mornings, we were able to watch the otters playing in the bay as we ate. Each day we were given fresh bottled waters, which can cost a great deal in other hotels. The staff, especially Concordio and the manager, were professional and responsive. Concordio recommended great restaurants for us to try. We had a very minor issue while there and both of these individuals went above and beyond to make it right. We are grateful. If we find ourselves in Monterey again, we will stay here. We highly recommend the property.

We spent a couple of days over New Year's Eve at the Monterey Bay Inn. I booked a harbor (ocean view) according to my confirmation email. Our room was a park/street view with the harbor visible if one leaned over the railing. So, we went back to the front desk. The staff could not have been nicer and moved our room to a harbor view. We were very happy with the views, the bed and the room. The hotel offers a "Pillow Menu" which was new to me- nice touch! We didn't need to change our pillows as those on the bed were lovely. The room top hot tub was lovely: clean, great views, and the perfect temperature. The included breakfast was healthy and tasty, It was so nice to have it delivered and then the tray taken away. I felt so relaxed and definitely like I was on an actual vacation. HEAVEN!

We had such a wonderful stay here—twice! We first stayed for our first wedding anniversary and recently returned for our 11th anniversary, and the experience was just as amazing as we remembered. From the beautiful room and stunning views to the delicious breakfast each morning, everything was spotless, comfortable, and very accommodating. The service was outstanding and truly made our stay special. We will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend it!
