It was a nice stay, bed was to firm for my liking but it was okay. I do have a complaint about the shower though. During my stay I fell in the shower because it was SO SLIPPERY because the water pressure wasn’t getting any soap off and there was no bath mat!

Very comfortable room. Beds were great. The only thing lacking was bedside table lighting. You had to use overhead light and get out of bed to turn off light since there were no bedside table lamps.

This review is specifically for the listing of a 2 bedroom cottage that we reserved with the Lone Oak Lodge. False advertising. Calling this a 2 bedroom ‘cottage’ is misleading and inaccurate. There are not 2 separate bedrooms - when you walk into the unit from outside, there is a bed in the room. No common area. Off that there is a kitchen area and a door to the one actual bedroom (and the lone bathroom was only accessible via the one bedroom). In addition, the whole setup was spartan - cold feeling, no artwork, no bedside lights at all (only harsh ceiling lights). They modified 2 regular rooms to be able to list it so it sounds like they have a cozy space (‘cottage’) with 2 actual bedrooms. No privacy for anyone with this - either you’re in the actual bedroom but others have to pass through to use the bathroom - or you’re in the open area but others have to pass through to exit the unit. This setup forced us to rent another 2 rooms for our stay (one in another hotel) that ruined our original plans for a nice family gathering. Staff was polite but inflexible - you’d think they’d have offered some accommodations or partial refund. Sad because the extra regular room that we had to rent at the last second seemed fine and we might’ve come back and spread the word about this location. Deceptive listing!

This place is awesome. Quiet friendly and the hot tub in the room is great! Its a cozy place with lots of different things to do and eat close by within walking distance. A short drive goes a long way around here too, lot cool places close by

Overall this was an excellent place to stay. The price was very reasonable, the staff was friendly, the room was clean. The a/c unit is a bit loud but I got a white noise app and that solved the issue easily. I would definitely stay here again, my family & I had a great experience.

We stayed there for a week and very pleased with our suite. We stayed in 1 bedroom with kitchen, living area and with another bed adjacent to living room. The pictures on expedia.com didn't do it justice. It is also pet friendly hotel. And there is a park about 2 miles away. Its also near Safeway and few more miles there is costco and a shopping center. My only complaint is we wish we each had a dresser. It's near Carmel, Cannery Row. If up to it the wharf at Santa Cruz has real good clam chowder. It was the last restaurant and they sell fresh seafood. I would also recommend Monterey Cookhouse and Chinese Restaurant that are walking distance.

Nice hotel Appears newly updated. Clean, minimal and modern. Nice to have a mini fridge & microwave available in room. The bathroom is spacious and had drawers and a cabinet to put your things in instead of having to keep everything on the counter. Nice touch. The mirror lighting was great. Easier to put on makeup. The jacuzzi tub is amazing and relaxing. You can’t find that in many hotels. Would go back just for that. During day no one is parked there. At night it can get busy, but there was still a few places to park. I like that they are all single story so no noise from above rooms. We had a few issues with the bed. The frame and base are metal, there was an area where the frame and base weren’t soldered. So any small movement was extremely loud and squeaky . We ended up finding the area and sticking a washcloth between where they touch. Helped reduce the noise. The mattress was not very comfortable. Very firm too much for us. I also wish there was a small light near the bed. Only the ceiling had lights so had to get up and turn all lights off. I would have enjoyed a full length mirror to check my whole outfit. There is no ironing board or iron. Luckily on this visit I didn’t need this, but it could be something needed next time. The staff was nice. Housekeeping were friendly and did a good job. We got a great recommendation from office staff for breakfast which helped us find a new favorite breakfast spot. I would visit again.

We enjoyed our stay here! The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean with the staff mopping and changing towels every day. The location was also great for exploring Monterrey, Carmel, and Big Sur. We will definitely see be back!

The room had some strange quirks. There were three microwaves-one in each room plus in the kitchen. Same with refrigerators. Seemed a wast of space. The beds were ok but super squeaky. The strangest and most inconvenient was the bathroom sink. It was commercial-like with zero counter space. So basically nowhere to put bathroom items. The faucet was so close to the wall that it wouldn’t turn all the way to hot so I actually had to wash my face in the kitchen sink. The bathroom was big but not a single towel rack or hook in sight. It didn’t lend itself to functionality. It wasn’t a bad experience but we probably wouldn’t stay there again. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice but the lady at check out barely glanced up and just told me to put the key cards in a small bin on the desk. Didn’t ask how our stay was.
