Nice basic little motel pretty central for a lot of things in Seaside/Monterey. There was an issue at check-in, but the receptionists were entirely friendly and helpful in getting it resolved. There's a place to hose off your diving gear if you're a diver.

Scuba Diver Friendly...maybe?

My significant other and I had a pleasant stay this past week over the July 4th holiday. I was able to get two days of scuba diving in and we enjoyed the local area in the evenings. This place has an area that is clearly designed for divers to rinse and hang wet gear -- and there are hooks outside every room for hanging gear which was great -- but that vibe is non-obvious that it was okay to use the rinse area when I checked in. I should have called ahead and asked for a manager -- my spanish was too rusty to clearly communicate scuba diving and gear washing because I was initially told 'no'.

Decent room for the price. A/C unit sounded like a jet engine—terrible. Too many outside lights on at night plus no blackout option on windows. On the plus side, location is ideal. Walkable to beach and a quick 10 minute drive gets you to most everything.
