Power was out for 6 hours due to utility work, but staff at least got me checked in. Overhead potted plant on drip watering system dumped hard water and dirt on my vehicle in a marked parking spot (I still have water spots).

Kind staff and clean rooms. The only room abnormality was a damp smell in the bathroom, but overall clean and comfortable. My only issue is that when we got there, the power was out and we had not been notified prior to arriving. Therefore, we were given a flashlight to navigate the room and the power was out until 7:30, well past our check in time. Of course, this was not Pacific Inn’s fault but some alert prior to arriving would’ve been nice. Due to this inconvenience we were told by the manager that we would receive a discount on our stay but that never came through. So overall, average spot for a stay in Monterey. Thanks!

I was supposed to check in at 2pm but I couldn’t because there was a power outage. The rooms use a electronic keypad that need electricity to open the door. The clerk at the front desk told me the power would not return until around 5pm. The clerk at the front desk was very respectful and kind but i was upset because I had dinner planned at 6pm. My girlfriend and I had to go find another place to change into our dress clothes. We were not able to check in until around 10pm. The room was nice and clean. Sadly we only got to enjoy it for about 12 hours. The clerk said we would be getting a refund for our troubles, im waiting on that.

It’s close to a busy road and it’s seems to be mainly for work groups traveling through. Like when electric providers go to a disaster site. Or when the construction crew is on site, not close to their home. We had no issues, and it is pet friendly, as we had a German Shepherd with us. The free breakfast that they advertise consists of your choice of one of two cereals and bread or toast. No coffee or any other drink.
