The room and Hotel were great however the Hotel was advertised as a heated pool and swim up bar. The pools were not heated at all and the water was extremely cold for anyone to swim in. It happened to be a cold week, and that's the time they should have been heated! Everyone complained., and it so happened they did put the heat back on the day we were leaving. NOT IMPRESSED!!

The ice bucket had leftover ice that melted. They skipped one day from restocking the refrigerator. The front desk people were very nice and the cleaning ladies as well. The room was clean. You should have more available reservations for your restaurants. We noticed the restaurants were not filled. Plenty of room for more reservations.

We stayed at this all-inclusive resort with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience did not fully meet them. The à la carte restaurants were not open every day, which significantly limited dining options during our stay. The rooms felt outdated and not very appealing, and the main lobby had an unpleasant odor throughout our visit. Service was another area where the resort fell short. While expectations seemed high, the overall delivery of service was inconsistent. One exception was our waiter, Sunny, who truly stood out with excellent service and a positive attitude—he made a noticeable difference in our experience. The volleyball area was poorly maintained, and the alcohol selection was quite limited. Being served tequila shots in paper cups was surprising and not something we’ve encountered before at an all-inclusive resort. Overall, the resort has potential, but several areas need improvement to meet the standards expected from an all-inclusive stay.

Overall, this is an average hotel. It was hit and miss with the attitudes of staff. Some were polite and welcoming and others couldn’t care less. The property is fairly dated but overall clean. Housekeeping may or may not restock your coffee and water supply. I am not entirely dissatisfied but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Bar staff, bellboys and housekeeping were amazing! Room service food, fromt desk and room temperatures could use a LOT of improvement. My thermostat was set to 17°C and could not be adjusted even though it was like 9°C outside. Overall, even though I was freezing and it was too cold for the beach, I had fun meeting new people and watching the indoor nightly shows.

Hotel is dirty, very difficult to make dinner reservations. No bottle waters available besides 2 in a room. Some of stuff was very friendly but some very unfriendly. Sunny from the buffet was excellent. Would never recommend staying there and definitely not going back. I have been to multiple Rui resorts and this one was the worse by far

Restaurant and room Staff were amazing. Earliest restaurant opens for dinner at 18:30 including the buffet. Do not pay for upgrades with Expedia. The hotel will not honor and will ask you to pay more money if you want another room. Our safe didn’t work ,no blankets, no robes, no happy anniversary and it took several calls for anything. Very old outdated room. 2 tiny pools and construction going on in your ocean view. Expedia chat did not work for 3 days and once I got in touch nothing was done. 17 trips to Riu hotels and this will be I fortunately our last and booking through Expedia as well.

Room had a musty smell. Had to burn incense to remove the odor. Food buffet was excellent with lots of choices.

Could not book a reservation at any of the restaurants we had to end our trip day early due to flights being canceled to whether they never gave us our money back for the day that we could not stay that we already had paid for room smell like mildew and bleach

The service was exceptional!!! My complaint is about the reservations to the restaurants. I paid a lot of money to stay here to enjoy all the things offered and this was my birthday trip I took solo and could not get a reservation for any of the restaurants offered!! I was stuck with buffets all trip long and the jerk stand. Highly disappointed!!!!!! Also the hot tub was not available it was out of service being worked on they said. I do not stay at hotels that don’t offer a hot tub so this will be my first and last time at this resort. Also this is suppose to be a home away from home… we should be able to control heat in our rooms. I froze all trip!!!! I’m anemic and always cold. The heat is my friend. When it’s in the low 60s wind blowing crazy…. I need HEAT!!! I was highly disappointed about that as well!!! I was given an extra blanket but that is so thin it does nothing. Do better!! Thanks

The room we were checked in was smelling. The a/c was so noisy that we called front desk and complained . The mechanic upon inspection reported to change the room. We were moved to another room nothing different. Next morning we reported to manager who paid no attention about our problems. The food is horrible and can’t eat . It is cold like from refrigerator. We even complained to the staff and they said it is as is. No food warmers. We spoke with many guests and all had same opinion. I don’t understand how people manage to stay for so many days. I found difficult to spend another day.
