Really the only thing that was disappointing and not really the hotels fault but people making the elevators and hallways smell like marijuana. I have no issues with people enjoying themselves but the lack of discretion and respect for others and their families was the only disappointing thing.

Atlantis truly has everything. It’s great for families. All the hotels are connected. The only downside is the price for food. Tax is 10% and everything food related automatically gets charged 15% gratuity, even self service food stands and drinks. Now what we loved, There are 4 connected hotels. The Cove. The Royal, The Coral, and The Reef. The Cove is the most luxurious hotel with an adult only pool area and exclusive where they have areas and activities other guests from other hotels can’t go. But other guests can use the cove beach which had great snorkeling and white sand and shaded lounge chairs. The Royal is the place to stay if you like activities. It’s closest to the aquarium The Dig, Aquaadventure, which is their water slide area, and the animal pools. It houses the casino and is centrally located in the resort. Just fyi you will have wristbands included in your stay which allow you access to the slides and other hotels. The Coral is close to the Royal and houses Predator Lagoon and don’t miss the Coral pool with a volleyball net and swim up bar. Didn’t go to The Reef because it was very far away from the Royal, but heard it had a great beach and snorkeling. They have complimentary water bottles with your stay. They are nice metal ones that keep your water cool. There are water refilling stations all around the resort. Watch the YouTube review videos to get a feel for where everything is before you go. You’ll have the trip of a lifetime!

Overall our family of 4 (kids 15 and 13) had a good time and enjoyed the resort. After visiting we wish we would have stayed at the Cove as that looked like a much more quiet and high end vibe. We were upgraded on arrival so that was great - our room was big and clean with easy access. Staff were friendly and service was good. The Royal is very busy especially in the foyer/common areas. The cruise boat traffic through those areas is noticeable and we didn't love the chaotic nature. Other people might love that but it was not for us. The water park was good - the best time to go was early or after 4pm when cruise people left as the lines were a lot shorter. Some slides were often closed which would mean longer lines - given how busy it was it was surprising that slides were closed. Food prices are high and in our opinion not great value for the price. We realize there is always high prices for tourists but prices here were over and above what we paid in other Caribbean islands for similar quality. Any extra activities at Atlantis were also overpriced imo. Mini golf was $40 a person. With taxes that totalled $200 for a round of mini golf for our family of 4 - not good value for us. The beaches are nice. We did have some seaweed on some days but our favorite beach was Paradise beach and it never had any sea weed. Snorkelling off the resort was ok - we did see sting rays and turtles so that was a highlight but otherwise snorkelling was underwhelming.
