Staff kept on putting extra charges, told later that we were not eligible for some room features as we were upgraded without being told so at reception. Restaurant food was reasonable to poor but very very expensive.

Singapore National Museum - beautiful colonial building. Old architecture
The National Museum of Singapore is a great place to learn about Singapore's history. It is the oldest museum in Singapore but all the galleries have a unique modern flare, which I loved. I highly recommend their current exhibition Singapura: 700 Years. It commemorates Singapore's 50 years of independence and is the perfect way to learn how Singapore grew from a small village to the financial capital that it is now. More here: http://goo.gl/Cfy6aG
