3 adults, 3 nights in early May (forecast had been for rain & possible thunderstorms - turned out brilliantly sunny with clear blue skies ... you gotta love Nelson !). This was possibly our favourite accommodation on our 12 day trip around Nelson/Marlborough Sounds (certainly in top 2 ... it had been my preferred Nelson accommodation right from initial planning in Feb, stood out as frontrunner immediately). Plush, clean, impressively-designed & immaculately-presented home ... both upmarket yet very comfortable & homely - esp with new soft high-quality carpet throughout. Tasteful relaxing neutral colour scheme of decor. Bedrooms were beautifully-presented & very comfortable (2 of them located on same floor as (1) upmarket bathroom with toilet & (2) separate toilet nextdoor) - esp important if your guest group includes elderly as ours did. Lounge is fantastic - very cosy, great views & I finally got to see Ricky Gervais's After Life on the large screen TV (all 3 seasons - 1 for each night we were there). State-of-the-Art kitchen (as you can see, slightly higher & detached from dining room & lounge to allow a degree of privacy between rooms ... + the aesthetically pleasing Wow factor of this multi-level design). All kitchen utensils & gadgets you could ever need (only issue was initial difficulty activating induction cooktop - though worked it out eventually ... possibly could do with basic step-by-step instructions for the woefully simple-minded like me). Beautiful leafy & very peaceful neighbourhood (while you can occasionally hear noise from the Port when you're outside, albeit off in distance - rest assured it's perfectly quiet inside the house), the multi-tiered garden is pure joy, esp in sunshine, terraces of green lawn, bushes & plenty of bright multi-coloured flowers & butterflies ... while the views weren't quite in the spectacular category, they were still highly impressive both of the sea & the attractive, sunny neighbourhood & surroundings. Further, the home incl handy facets you don't always see in other accommodation = washing machine separate from dryer, free WiFi, all linen provided, rubbish disposal, cleaning service, prominent Clock on dining room wall, an unusually impressive book selection. Elderly guests & those with mobility issues should be aware of maybe 10-12 internal stairs from front door to main floors - but its carpeted with handrail & wasn't too much trouble for my elderly parents. Overall 5 out of 5. Higly Recommended.
