The positive:
- Great location (access to multiple subway lines and many attractions within walking distance)
- Clean rooms and very attentive housekeeping staff
- Ice machine and water station on one of the lower floors (slightly inconvenient that they were not on each floor, but still easily accessible)
- Most of the staff were kind and helpful
The negative:
Some of the staff were not as welcoming. There were multiple instances where I felt like I was bothering them:
- My flight landed early and I was told I would be called when a room was ready and that never happened. I was fine waiting till check in time, but the lack of communication was frustrating
- When I arrived to get my keys and pick up my bags, the desk agent was very rude. I advised that I had checked in earlier and was picking up my keys - she barely greeted me and just asked for my identification. I let her know I was also picking up bags and had been there earlier and she just repeated “ID please” in a very condescending way that made me want to end the interaction there. She was just as unpleasant in all of our interactions for the rest of my stay.
- I dropped my key when I went on a quick walk around the block for food and realized I had left my ID in my room. I had anxiety going to get a replacement because the only person at the desk was the same desk person who had already been rude to me previously. She was not any nicer when I went to go ask and again, I felt like I was burdening her.
