Fine hotel - but be careful on the price

Overall the hotel is in good condition, rooms are above average size for Manhattan. Front desk staff is mixed... some very warm and accommodating, others would be better suited to a DMV. The price of rooms can have big swings based on capacity. First night was $400, second night of my trip was over $600. That's exorbitant for this property. And of course, on top of that they hit you with the $30 "resort fee". The Kixby is very serviceable hotel but it's no resort!

Hidden Gem in Midtown NYC

Whether your in NYC for business or pleasure, you'll want to stay at the Kixby. Staff are gracious and respond to your needs. Room are comfortable and with stylish decor. The bathroom is on the small side, but very well appointed. There are even 3 different types of shower heads! Conveniently located close to all the fabulous spots in midtown and all the subway lines. Will be staying here again on my next trip.

Cute Boutique Hotel

The Kixby’s location was perfect for staying midtown. It was just outside the hustle of Times Square. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are on the smaller side but still comfortable. The bathroom was very small. A larger vanity area would have been nice. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were lumpy and not that soft. All in all it was a nice place to stay for 5 days for the economical price compared to other hotels in the area.

Love it! Great location.

What a perfect location and a great stay. Comfortable and clean and great view from the rooftop! The Empire State Building was lit up in spring colors and was so pretty. It was actually pretty quiet but with earplugs I slept like a baby. I feel like I always need earplugs in NYC so this is not a problem. Walkable to everything but the subway is so close too! This is a hidden gem.
