The hotel, from the entrance, lobby, and room, was very poorly maintained, dirty, and smelled terrible. The bed was very bad, the mattress was damaged, and the air conditioning never cooled properly. I reported it and saw no signs of it being damaged. The sound was terrible, so I couldn't sleep. My worst stay.

This hotel is in a convenient place for entertainment on Amsterdam st. As far as eating out, it mainly fast food and a horrible gym. The room was not good. No electrical outlets close to.bed. the refrigerator was a small mini fridge in a corner. The tv was not centered to bed and it took over 10 minutes for hot water. There was no curtain on the window only a cheap blind. We had to pay an extra $80 dollars what was said to be for gratuities which was said to be for parking, we dont have a vehicle, snacks, and use of a very small and inadequate gym across the street. There was a stench in the halway of our room. There is no breakfast available from the hotel. This place is a good place for a quick place for a night but not for a week vacation. This hotel and room was at best a $50 nightly stay. Definitely not $200 a night. Not recommended at all unless you need a place for a night.

WARNING: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BAGS WITH THEM BEFORE/AFTER CHECKING IN/OUT. I left my suitcase and tote bag with them for a total of 8 hours after I checked out and when I got them back, the tote bag was completely smashed and COVERED in dust and drywall debris. The suitcase was filthy as well. I asked what happened and the man replied “it’s just a little dust”. But it was not “a little dust”. It looked like they mopped the rooms with it. I should have taken a photo but I immediately starting cleaning it in the bathroom. Also, it was clearly OPENED. I tucked in the zippers and placed them in a certain way so I would know if it was tampered with and it was. The debris was INSIDE my fully zipped bag, which is another clue it was opened. Gross… I would have considered staying here again if it wasn’t for that but now It’s off my list.

Rooms in terrible shape, 10 min for running water to warm let alone hot, started tearing down a wall next door during stay. Renovated roons were quoted as an upsell over the Expedia price. Run down building.

The room was absolutely disgusting! It looked like an old, abandoned apartment from the 1960s. Dirty, loud, smelly, and NOTHING like what they photos showed. Very disappointed.

I was looking for a bit of quiet, clean beds and bathrooms, and a good location. Below is what led me to give a 2 start overall rating. Migrants/Homeless were living in a room next to our original room. At around 10PM we arrived back in our room, and it smelled like pot. We're on the 11th floor and I couldn't imagine that leaving the window open would cause that, but closed the w- indw. 2 hours later I woke up and it still smelled. And I woke up because the people next door (sounded like a woman and kids) were loud, then someone else came in and kept opening and closing the door. It sounded like a family squabble and so I finally went downstairs to complain. The person at the desk immediately gave us another room. He did not really want to know what was happening. He did, however, ask the security guard to go upstairs to find out what was going on. I walked by the security guard talking to the residents in the room, and it was not like a guest/concierge conversation at all. The second night we woke up in our new room with loud music next door at 2:30 in the morning. They turned it on likely around that time! Who does that? I went to complain downstairs and they got them to turn it off. This hotel does allow migrants/homeless to stay there as part of a city program. I tried to get a refund, but only got $100 (we were there 5 nights). Lastly, the air conditioners were loud! You had to have them on because the rooms are stuffy.
