Affordable, but ordinary.

Pros: Subway transport links were okay. Relatively affordable for New York.
Cons: Difficult to improve much without a full refurbishment. Maybe put in tea and coffee facilities, and accept credit card payments.
Location: Location was near Greenwich Village on Lower East side. Bars and nightclubs were nearby.
This hotel is located in a noisy location, which made consistent sleep difficult. The room was small, with a noisy air conditioner. Reasonably close to subway transport. Staff were helpful. Hotel only wants payment in cash, which is strange. Booking this hotel felt like a false economy. It was affordable, but the compromises required seemed greater than the savings.
