This hotel is gorgeous, the outside, inside and my room. The staff seemed a bit uninterested, but overall I had a good experience. I really liked the Chelsea Piers gym access and the outdoor courtyard.

The location is definitely the only thing standing out and the idea of the Hotel—very convenient for getting around New York, and surprisingly quiet for Manhattan, which was appreciated. However, the condition of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The building is very old, and it shows. There’s a persistent musty, old smell, and we noticed signs of mold. The AC is very loud, and I am not a light sleeper and I had a hard time. Between that and the smell. The walls were visibly uneven, with several areas showing patch jobs that looked like quick fixes for deeper structural issues. Cleanliness was below average, and there’s no concierge or security, which made the stay feel more like a dated apartment rental than a proper hotel for the money. If you're only after a quiet spot in a good location and don't mind rough conditions, this might work—but it’s far from comfortable or well-maintained.

Nice but older hotel. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. No lobby for check in but staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Room wasn’t ready at noon but they held our bags while we shopped around. Water in the room would have been nice. The bar and coffee shop is not part of the hotel so you couldn’t use room charge. Overall a nice stay
