Great location. EZ access to midTown on yellow subway. Very quiet. Hardly any traffic noise. Big room with living room, separate bedroom. Small table. Big windows. Comfy bed. Penty of space like an apartment. Really enjoyed our stay.

The room is lovely. Spacious with a big picture window. Clean, modern decor. Hot shower. I had never stayed in Long Island City, but there was a convention in town and Manhattan hotel prices were inflated. The Modernist was fairly priced given the market. I would gladly stay here again. Just two stops and a brief walk to midtown.

The staff was very nice. The artificial flowers and overpowering room freshener when first entering the building were very off-putting. The room was very spacious but a little worn. The blinds over the cinder block window did not work so our room was pretty well illuminated throughout the night. The people in the room next door to us started playing loud music with a heavy bass at 12:30 AM. The beds were hard and the pillows were really uncomfortable. Overall, it was ok but definitely not worth the price. I don't think we will be staying there again.

The staff was so welcoming and helpful! They were quick to answer my texts before checking in and were available during our stay. It was such a lovely hotel! The room we had with the private balcony was so beautiful and perfect. It was also such a short walk to the subway. My daughter and I had an amazing stay and will be back!
