I booked this hotel for my husband for a 1 night stay. At 1am someone came opened his door, walked in and asked if he wanted any water bottles for the room. He was asked to leave by my husband and the hotel staff member apologised, opened the door and left. When he complained the hotel reception apologized and said it was strange. Why is someone walking around the hotel at 1am restocking rooms and why don't they know which rooms are occupied? Completely unacceptable and I was staying here as a female or with children I would NOT feel safe being here.

There was no special VIP Expedia perk which was disappointing since it said I would receive something at check in. The hotel though is beautiful and very clean and in a great location for exploring the downtown area and Brooklyn.

Excellent hotel, best I’ve stayed in New York Great customer service , travelled with a 7months old baby Bianca at reception was super kind and helpful , accommodated us in a great room in than 10 min of arrival and everything got ready within 15min or so . The quality of the room was superb - well furnished and equipped with lovely Le Labo bath products and a very well-stocked and reasonable (for NYC) bar and snacks. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is quiet considering how central it is. Great for ferry to Brooklyn, exploring Downtown, and connections uptown. I'd definitely stay again.

First, staff isn’t friendly, welcoming and we had a few issues with the receptionist misinformation us. One of them told us that the restaurant was closed during lunch but we clearly saw people eating. After having asked the waiter, there was no closing whatsoever. Very annoying as we lost one hour of waiting for nothing and looked like she didn’t want us there, we told her earlier in the morning (7am) that we wanted to eat for lunch just before our flight. When asking for a cab to the airport, the same women, told us not to stress about timing, mentioning no traffic and so on, while having and international flight we actually almost missed it due to her carelessness to order a cab when we asked for it. Even the bellman told her to hurry. Secondly, issue with the hot water 2 times in a row very early in the morning. And then I saw a disturbing “booger” on my bathrobe when I came back in to my room late in the evening. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant stay, breakfast in bed was ok nothing crazy.. mocktails at the bar too.. too bad.
