Been here a few times. Hotel is great. Ottawa has a serious drug and Homelessness problem. Very embarrassing and sad as a Canadian that we let our Nations Capital look like this. Can’t imagine what visitors from other countries think.

Good washroom. Decorations are very good. Room is small and awkward end tables. Place smelt very musty and damp. Lingering smoke smell. Provided soaps smelt like cigarettes too which was very odd. Loud ice maker and rattling pipes. Doors that slam all night. Extremely expensive parking and breakfast. Overall not worth the extra expense for location. Local area is full of people begging for hand outs and people just being creepy staring at you. Didn’t feel safe.

Very quiet room; heard no noise from hallway or rooms to the side or above. Comfortable and very clean. One complaint is that shower was not designed well and water always leaked over the edge leaving a puddle on the floor. Very helpful and friendly front desk staff. Convenient to Byward Market and Rideau Centre across the street. Never had to walk far to get back to the hotel after an evening out on the town. Many homeless in the area, but I was never bothered by them and they did not hinder access to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again.
