It’s not recommended. - They put us a fully molded room and after a complain and to much hassle, they moved us in a less molded room. - The room toilet was dirty from previous users. - The housekeepers stolen my cash on the nightstand. - AC wasn’t cooling in 85 degree days. - Room phone wasn’t functional. - Beds have no sheets. Just quilt which isn’t replaced/ washed with every guest. - The scale isn’t human to take 20 mins walking to get to your room. - The lobby will be like a local city fair noise. - Everything was on long long lines. Party, Cafe, restaurants, Bars, Buffets, and elevators…. Be prepared to a stressful vacation if you go there. - The food looks good but I have trust issues with all what I’ve seen in that hotel so wishing it’s prepared safely. - Best thing was the fruits (Specially Mangoes). I tried to make it short review. Won’t go there for any reason or price again

My family and I had an amazing time. It was very kid friendly and had many activities to do. We went for my son’s 10th birthday and the staff really made each night special. They decorated the room beautifully and sent Happy Birthday desserts every day for him. The kids club also had many activities for kids and kept them very entertained. It was truly a special trip.

We enjoyed the property a lot. We were with a group who had kids as well ages 8-13. The water slides were incredible. There were tons of activities including laser tag and a trampoline park (both required extra payment) but I think the kids loved all that the resort offered. Me and my wife enjoyed the specialty restaurants, and the days by the pool. The beaches had seaweed unlike the puerto Vallarta side and the waves weren’t too big to do activities in. Overall these aren’t complaints, just what I noticed compared to staying in a different part of Mexico in the past. Sun was very hot, UV index of 11 and limited shade to be found without buying a cabana for 250USD per day which I didn’t want to pay. Instead I got drunk in the pool and burned lol Rooms were comfy, and air conditioning worked well. The ocean view was fantastic. Weather was 29-31 degrees Celsius daily. At night it was about 25 or so, very consistent. Booking with Expedia was awesome, there was perks at the hotel for Expedia clients. Overall I had never stayed at a Royalton. I wouldn’t hesitate to return the hotel was really great.

Things we loved - the servers in the Expedia dining area were all great and went above and beyond. Grazie, Teppanyaki and Hunters Steakhouse were our favourite restaurants. The pool activities were awesome, aquafit, volleyball, polo, just to name a few. The food truck options by the pools were great, we loved the one with the burgers, as well as the selection at Nibbles. Our room was lovely and well attended to by the cleaners. Our Expedia liaison at the hotel was also paramount in assisting us with some more challenging reservations. Slight disappointments - our minibar was rarely restocked. We waited three days and called four times before we finally got it replenished. The servers around the pool were great (Marina was awesome) but whenever we went up to the bar (by Nibbles) we were often ignored. Final thoughts, we would book there again as it’s a beautiful space with something for everyone! Waterslides, kids club, lazy river, and beautiful views. Last recommendation is to try and bring as much stuff like Advil, sunscreen, aloe Vera, razors, toothpaste, etc from home, as the hotel shop is very pricey for the most part!

Resort was very accommodating but what made the entire trip was Alex. The concierge at the Expedia counter!! He was very professional and engaged with us the entire time we were there!! Also a good reason for us to return with the rest of our family in July!

Disclaimer: all inclusive resort environment isn’t my thing to begin with For what was charged, I found the resort mediocre at best. Having to wake up and claim pool chairs by 5:30am or not have chairs is ridiculous. Having to wake up at 12:01am to make reservations for resort restaurants is ridiculous especially given the food is the same as the buffet or any of the other restaurants on property. My son slipped and fell. Saw multiple people also fall and spoke to a guest who broke her wrist from a fall as well. Beach wasn’t anything special and very few people in the water at all due to the seagrass and overall water quality. Service from diamond butlers was the saving grace for our trip to be somewhat enjoyable, but all in all, I wouldn’t recommend the resort to anyone.

We’ve been to Mexico every year for the past 10 years at all-inclusives and have never experienced such low levels of customer service as we did at Royalton. We were never provided any info about the property or dining reservations or the app at check-in, it was a struggle at every meal at the buffet to get basic service like water or coffee refills, room service food took hours, maid service would t leave what we requested in our room even with a tip, bar tenders were never friendly or smiled, I waited half an hour at the front desk to sign dinner reservation papers while they checked in a family even though there were 3 others at the desk helping no one on their computers, my laundry wasn’t returned until I called and asked where it was the day before we left, the list goes on. The shows were nothing special except the Mayan show in the cave restaurant.

The resort is very nice and had more than any one could need on a family vacation. The food was great and always a good amount of options. The lineups can be slow for no reason at times however it always worked out.

Great resort with lots of activities for the kids. Many dining options, but you have to book the reservation at midnight to get your spot. Downfall was the beach not being nice due to amount of seaweed coming in with the wind while we were here.

We loved this property and our experience there. The staff seemed a bit stressed but it was spring break and a lot of kids and people. Food was great. Amazing. Loved the nightly entertainment. Such a clean and well kept property. The alcohol drinks was very weak but overall I would highly recommend this place for families.

We stayed at this resort for the first time and stayed 5 nights. We had good and bad experiences here. The good our concierge Alejandro was amazing! We were very grateful to have him schedule all of our dinner reservations. He sent us Champagne and strawberries and checked on our stay all week long. Our room was big and spacious. We had enough room to have a pullout sleeper in as well as the two double beds. We had the gulf and pool view with a balcony. Entertainment at night was great! The food was good, not great, but good. Drinks were good and service was not great. A few bad things we did not like. Reservations for dinner at almost impossible! Get someone to help you make them or be prepared to eat at the buffet or make reservations at midnight every night. The resort is too busy, Buffett and food cart lines so long and not enough staff to support amount of people. Only one bartender at each poolside bar, which means lots of waiting for a cocktail! The beach has alligators! Trust me we have seen them. And red flags means don’t go in the water! Overall good trip just take note it’s a huge respect and not enough staff. The lines at the bars and Buffett are ridiculous. Get a concierge to help with reservations!

Very bad experience, we did not like the cleanliness or the food. We were overcharged for the circus tickets and had a very bad time. There was no variation of food and it was impossible to book in the restaurants as the hotel was full.
