Nice, good location

Excellent location. Yes its a resort, but once you step foot out of the doors, it feels like your among the locals, which was great. Plenty of shopping and window shopping to do in the area without a crazy amount of walking. Beaches were clear and beautiful. Just a relaxed getaway. I would deff go again.. I've been to Aruba as well.. Curacao may have them beat!

Our family of six (4 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed 7 nights at Villa Trupial. We would gladly choose to stay here again. The villa is very clean and well-appointed. It is accurately described in the listing. Communication with the Host/Owner and the Local Manager (Hilde) was excellent - any questions were promptly answered. For extra convenience, there were two refrigerators, a washer and dryer, several clothes drying racks, and an outdoor clothesline. Use that ocean breeze to quickly dry anything!There are two bedrooms on the main floor. As other reviews have mentioned, you have to walk outside and down some steps to access the other rooms. It's not an issue and actually gives more privacy to the people staying in those rooms.The Coral Estate community is beautiful, clean, and safe. The villa is an easy 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk to Karakter Beach Club. The stunning view from the villa is unmatched (vast ocean, birdwatching, amazing sunsets). We used the air-conditioning only at night to sleep and that kept us very comfortable. During the day, with opened windows and doors, the constant breeze kept the villa comfortable. We also enjoyed the palapa and wandering the garden trail each morning looking for iguanas, hummingbirds, etc.The driveway is very steep. We rented an SUV, so it wasn't an issue as long as we went slowly. For ease, we choose to park on the street though. Any vehicle with a lower clearance might have an issue with the driveway.
