This is the third time we have booked with this Motel. Staff are willing to update their visitors on White Island activities and generally take time to talk about local information. Units are very generous in size. Staff are very co-operative with regards to time in which to relinquish the unit.

always good this is nice and new facilities etc the only place I stay in Whakatane, often also stay in Ohope by the beach but different as right over the road from the beach whereas the Landing is in town on main road ( but not noisy)
We turned up late to the most warm welcome, gorgeous room and lovely little extras. The whole weekend we felt right at home - the breakfasts were lovely and the home was beautiful. This is definitely a place we would recommend and would personally return to. Thank you both!!
Our Whakatane accommodation is located in the city of Whakatane on the coast of the Bay of Plenty. Famous for its warm waters and mild tropical climate, it is an excellent spot for a weekend getaway to the coast or an extended vacation taking in all the exciting activities of the region.
A stay in one of our Whakatane hotels places is a perfect base for exploring as it provides a vital gateway to the Bay of Plenty. The area is renowned for its exceptional big game fishing and there are a number of tours and day trips that operate daily and depart from Whakatane and Ohiwa Harbour.
Another must see destination in the Bay of Plenty is White Island. New Zealand’s most active volcano and only active marine volcano is an awe inspiring sight from far away and seeing it up close is an essential experience while staying in our accommodation in Whakatane. The White Island is also renowned for great fishing off its coast and the tours that depart from Whakatane are the only way to get there.
When looking for somewhere to dine during your stay in our Whakatane accommodation look no further than Whakatane Harbour. The many café’s, restaurants and eateries that are located close to the shore take advantage of the spectacular scenery, particularly the magical colours that streak the sky at sunrise and sunset.
