The location of this hotel is great for travelers that want to be in the picturesque Jordaan area with the canals. The staff were very friendly and the room was modern and clean. I appreciate that they have a coffee machine free of charge for guests.

Great location and super friendly staff

Fantastic location to wonder around Amsterdam with great restaurants and bars all nearby. Staff were super friendly and remembered our name. We were able to come back and chill after a day out before coming out in the evening. They also accommodated us at the last minute when we were let down by YAYS accommodation.

We got a basement room. Plus side, it was quiet, downside, no fresh air. Flooring was some glue on version that was coming undone. Privacy almost nill as only thin frosted glass between toilet, shower and bedroom. Way too much togetherness as everything can be heard. 😂

I checked into the Melrose last second for a couple of nights. I had booked another hotel and it was so loud, I couldnt sleep. The Melrose was quiet and the bed was confortable. Highly recommended

Overall a good stay, my main complaint: two twins does not a queen bed make! As a solo traveler, it was slightly frustrating to have a doubled up twin set for my room, and one that didn’t even connect so I’d wake up in the middle of the night with a huge gap between them and being cradled by the mattress topper. I recognize this is pretty common in Europe, but I’ve never stayed anywhere where when they did this the frame didn’t lock together. Other wise was safe area, convenient to walk anywhere, clean, and superrrrrr quiet rooms which was nice at the end of a city day

Bon hôtel très bien situé, accueil et personnel sympathique. Chambre propre et faite tous les jours. Nous étions au calme au 3eme étage. Seul bémol la douche est avec les toilettes d’un côté et le lavabo est dans la chambre (chambre de 4 personnes). Pas de petit déjeuner, mais il y a des boulangeries à proximité. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour

It was difficult sorting through the thousands of hotels to stay at in Barcelona but I heard Eixample was a great neighborhood to stay in and I agree! It's safe and quiet and the hotel is about a 3 minute walk to the nearest metro. I booked this hotel because majority of the reviews were positive and it did not disappoint! The staff were friendly, our room was clean and spacious, and I felt safe. There was a mini fridge and safe in our room. Plenty of amenities like towels, tissue paper, soap/shampoo/conditioner, etc. We didn't try the breakfast but I saw many great reviews on it. Lots of great and highly-rated restaurants nearby and a grocery/convenience store right around the corner. Also a 15 minute walk to the Sagrada familia. One thing to note is that since the metro is underground, you can hear it every few minutes but it's nothing terrible and you can't avoid this even at restaurants. This location was amazing and the hotel was great. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to BCN.
