Independent - accommodation in Chelsea

After the high price paid per night, we still had to pay for early check in. Destination fees are too high and not negotiable. Rude messages are on display in the hotel bathroom telling you they will charge u $20 per item if you take the toiletries after your stay. Other hotels give u toiletries complimentary but not hyatt, very stingy. I would not stay again as i felt exploited. Many other options in manhattan who give you more. The bistro downstairs is overpriced too. Hot water also took forever to kick in, had to leave the shower on for long.

Staff was great, cleaning crew did a great job daily. My issues were around the items in the room. My coffee maker didn’t work and neither did the hair dryer, but the staff made it right and brought new ones. The hot water in the room never got what I would consider hot.
