We always stay at The Roby if we can when in Chicago. It’s right on the blue line in Wicker Park/Bucktown, so very convenient to O’Hare. Rooms are nicely designed, especially the larger annex loft rooms. The main restaurant is convenient and quite good and the rooftop bar is not to be missed for its outdoor space and views. Staff are wonderful.

I get the industrial vibe, but I wish the menu ties were better to soften the experience. The sheets were so scratchy and cheap, the bed was hard, the ac noisy, and the lighting confusing and dim. Nice to have a neighborhood location and it was mostly quiet. I just wish it was a little more comfortable
