Fairview accommodation from NZ$141

Great place and great location. Only disappointment was the lack of hygiene products in the bathroom.

The staff was great.

I have to say this was a lovely place to stay, the room was spacious, very clean, with fridge, ironing facilities, air con. Lovely confortable bed, bathroom was large with wonderful shower. Sadly no kettle, but it had a full oven with hob which we used to boil water for tea and security felt good. Kitchen was small but catered well for every need and had a good size fridge with freeze, and there was free parking. The location is not the best, it's by a train line with not much else, some other accommodation but not well lit. We did walk to the Honky Tonk Highway (about 40mins - through what looked like an unused industrial area) but returning late at night we used an Uber, which wasn't cheap! But that's not the responsibility of the hotel. The check in was horrendous! Possibly the worst experience of checking in I think I've ever had with a hotel. Sadly, there is not an actual person on-site, and so I assume they have to be very careful when allowing people into the premises. Unfortunately, as lovely as this place was, I wouldn't book again due to the check in process, for me just too stressful.
