Everything about this stay was perfect. Clean, spacious room, lovely views, friendly welcome from Matthew who gave us excellent advice on sightseeing. The two resident dogs, Beamish and Tarn, also made us most welcome. Thoroughly recommend.

Clean room and bathroom! Staff wonderful and friendly dogs to greet us! Close to Lake Matheson and able to see Fox glacier just down the road. Woke up to a fabulous view of Mount Cook this morning! What more could you ask for!!!

This was such a great motel slightly off the main town center of Fox Glacier but along the way to the popular Lake Matheson! The only downside I would list is that there was only one small panel heater in the room which was not sufficient to heat up the entire room. However, the beds had electric blankets and the bathroom had a heater so it was not a major issue.

Amazing views and comfort

Fantastic spacious rooms with plush carpet and well equiped kitchen. Couch was huge and comfy. Beds comfortable with beautiful large windows, mountain and hill views. Easy access to glacier lookout and lake.

This is an amazing motel. We always stay here. It’s super clean, modernized, fabulous view and great people. On top of that it’s dog friendly. Very underrated. You won’t regret staying here.

We liked that the motel is near the town centre so getting our daily supplies was easy and is also nearer to Lake Matheson. The motel is a little dated which is understandable based on the value we got from the stay. There were 2 guard dogs (one black and one brown) that roam around the motel. The doggos were adorable and well-trained. Some visitors may not be comfortable with the dogs but we were fine with their company.
