Hakuba Hotels with Hot Tub in Room

We had a great stay at Hakuba Sun Valley. Our room was perfect - a mix of western bed with Japanese futons at the loft which the kids loved so much. The location is great - less than 5 min walking distance to the Iimori ski resort where we had our lessons. The staffs were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the chat with them during breakfast and dinner, and they did their best to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The food was wonderful and really happy to be welcomed with dinner in an a cozy dining room after a long day of ski. They offered shuttle from/to the ski resort, but they even went all the way in offering us a lift when we needed to do a bit of errands, and we ended up having great conversation on the way from which we learned more about Hakuba, too! The breakfast was wonderful. Something for everyone. Also the daily outdoor winter lunch was very good too. One night we had the Chef’s dinner and it really was excellent. No point arriving before your room is ready because there is literally nothing to do, even though the room may be ready, you can’t have it till 3pm.

Less expensive and budget friendly. Amenities available like Onsen and table tennis. Laudry is also available. Distance is the disadvantage. It's a little far from the city center although still walking distance.
