Palace Resorts - accommodation in Hidalgo

The property was great. We've been to many around this area so far, and this one is our favorite. There were many food options, including vegetarian options. Additionally, they had a pizza station, taco station, sushi station, crepe station, and churros station. There was also a café with desserts. The pool is huge. The hotel was very clean, and room service was available twice a day, even though we didn't request it. Upon arrival, they offered a bottle of tequila or any other type of your choice. Not sure if that was because I had a premium room. The staff was amazing - very nice, friendly, and attentive. The shows were also good, like the manic show, fire show, and Michael Jackson tribute. There were many bars with fast service if you're into drinking. The hotel is both adults and kids-friendly. The ocean had seaweed, which is no fault of the hotel. You can swim when there's a lifeguard on duty and when the water isn't too choppy. The hotel is also close to the airport, about a 15-minute drive.

Absolutely fabulous experience. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The best part of the entire experience was the amazing customer service throughout the entire the stay. The staff was truly wonderful! We did not mind that the resort was not directly on the beach. The shuttle was easy and convenient and was no issue at all. The resort is new and is in wonderful condition, we recommend the Vantage Club as the rooftop pool and premium bar is worth the extra cost. An area of the experience that can be improved is the food. While it was all pretty good, I've had better at other resorts. That being said, the rooftop breakfast, Ennea at the Beach Club, and Oishii Japanese restaurant were our favorites of the trip. I look forward to seeing how this resort elevates the food experience as it grows into itself.
