The room was rundown. The mattress was too soft. The bed skirting was saggy. The carpet was old. The paint in the shower was missing in spots. There’s calcium deposits all over the 40 year-old shower. Yet there are multiple warnings of a $750 fine if you vape or smoke in your dumpy room. The gaming tables are all gone, and the food choices are minimal. I should’ve just gone to the Pioneer.

Laughlin is NOT Vegas, but The Edgewater was below average even for Laughlin. To start with, you can't drive up and drop off at the front entrance. There was 1 person on duty at the front desk, with a line backed up. From the moment you walk in, the hotel feels run down. That carries on throughout. The floors are uneven. The beds need replacing. We wanted to take a photo looking out of our window at the river, but couldn't because the window was so filthy. We chose this as a cheap stop over on the way to Vegas. It's worth spending an extra $20 for any other hotel.
