We enjoyed the breaksfast offered and found the selection to be quite reasonable. It is a bonus to have a happy hour bar and large relaxation area for guests.The location of the hotel is excellent for trams,trains, and choice of venues for meals. The only suggestion for improvement is the bath towels are getting worn and thin.

Staff were always helpful and room was spacious and clean, with comfy beds. Only recommendation would be to provide 2x towels per person. Other than that, would highly recommend this hotel.

Room was big, spacious, clean. Lots of street noise at night from a bar nearby and guests in the hotel returning to their rooms late. Contactless check in and checkout was great.

Positives: Great location, proximal to CBD and sports events. Thanks for staff after hours for check-in as the kiosk check was not working. Bed great, and room quiet. Negatives. Flaccid pillows and the spares had dirty pillowcases, which were replaced the day after. The room needed a good thorough clean-the carpet looked as though it had not been vacuumed for years, loads of particles visible and the dust build up in the corners was about an inch thick. The carpet in the corridors very malodorous. Compared to Next and the Stamford, the Victoria is looking a bit tired and in need of a spruce up.

Breakfast was expensive and limited - we only ate there on the first morning / coffee bitter & cold and reception staff not very responsive or friendly. But overall because of location, accommodation, reasonable pricing we would return

The location is the best element of this hotel, followed by the friendly bar staff and the water refill machine. Alas the bathrooms are a let down. old style and very poor water pressure, no hand held shower nozzle or soft closing toilet lid.

Our room was really clean and made up daily with new towels, coffee etc. The bed was comfortable. I didn’t use the pool/gym/sauna facilities. The water pressure in the shower and loo wasn’t great, possibly because we were on the top (7th) floor ( no view, no balconies). I thought it odd that no wine glasses were provided, but the hotel’s restaurant happily provided us with glasses and an ice bucket complete with ice ! The bar/restaurant staff were super friendly and the food was good and well priced ( there are happy hours several days of the week). Didn’t try the buffet breakfast as Brunetti’s was just on the corner ☺️ The position of the VIC is very central to food, shopping, attractions and transport.
