Worst hotel I’ve visited. Customer service was awful The rooms were dirty The soap dispenser was empty. Shampoo was watered down. I would never stay here again

This property is located in a very good part which doesn’t offer if you or anything, but it’s very conveniently right on the highway and there is parking space as well. However, the condition of the property is terrible. It hasn’t been maintained at all for years. There are scratches on the walls. The doors also are full of scratches. Everything seems dirty and not polished at all.

While the room was basically clean, the property appears to need some upkeep. Our room had molding coming off the wall and the barn door that serves as the bathroom door doesn’t completely cover the entry space. We were short on towels, which were quickly provided by the housekeeper after I tracked her down.

I am a regular traveler and I been to all types of hotels from 1 to 5 stars and honestly I have to say this has been the worst experiences and stays I have booked. For starters the front desk personnel has horrible attitude since we came in we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. We try to check in a bit earlier since it said they would let you before the check in in time and we were told it wasn’t going to be ready until later which it’s fine understandable but the guy at from could of had a better attitude. The hotel it self wasn’t the greatest but for what you paying for it is what it is but when we got to our room it had a smell of humid that was impossible to breath and there was leaking under the beds and the Ac wasn’t working so I went to front desk again see if they could switch us and the second person at front basically treated me like I was asking for money like it’s my fault that we got the worst room ( is it because I was young and I’m supposed to settle for whatever) anyway after the dirty looks he got me another room where it was decent enough to sleep in. It was ok until the next day I left early from the hotel and got back little before 5pm to a room that wasn’t clean no one went for housekeeping which not even in the 1 start hotel happened so I went to front desk again kindly asked to get it clean and was told by the colored male that it wasn’t going to be clean that they were too booked so I was supposed to sleep in a dirty room ? Not ok !DONT BOOK HERE!

Convenient if you have a car. Good dining options at nearby shopping centre. Hotel was a bit run down but comfortable. All staff encountered were outstandingly helpful and friendly. Adequate for our quick stay.

Property was ok. Rooms seem like they were updated not to long ago but they weren't really ever done. Holes in walls and alot of plaster just left unfinished. Room smelled clean and they allowed our dog so all in all it was worth it for the price. You get what you expect not much more.

Rooms are a dump

The good: The front desk guy was very friendly, made you feel welcome. The bad: Everything else. You could tell by looking around the lobby that the owners are skin tight. Bare bones furniture. The property - saw a big bag of trash sitting by our building door sitting out. The flower gardens are unkept. An outdoor gazebo type structure looked is falling down and needs to be tore down. The rooms are HORRIBLE. The furniture is the cheapest you could probably buy. The furniture is also chipped up badly, with the laminate broken off in many places. One of the legs for the table is broken and sitting at a wonky angle. The curtains had holes in them. The door adjoining the next room had the paint all chipped off. They can't touch up the paint every few months? I don't think they touched up the paint in 10 years! The place is a DUMP.

Disappointing Stay – Needs Better Maintenance and

We stayed at the Red Lion Hotel in Monterey, and unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The room was very dated and in need of maintenance. The hardwood floors were sticky, making it uncomfortable to walk around without shoes. One of the dresser handles was missing, and the bed was hard and not very comfortable. The bathroom was also below standard — the bathtub and showerhead were visibly dirty, which made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned overall. On a positive note, the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, the cleanliness and condition of the room really took away from the overall experience. We were hoping for a relaxing stay but were left disappointed. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t choose this hotel again unless some major improvements are made.
