The first night was hard to detect thought it was from floor cleaner smell but later the 2nd night we figured out that odor was coming from the carpet where it hard to resist and the window was unable to open for ventilation and bathroom exhaust is not enough to suck the smell.

Staff rude. Management even worse. They treat visitors like garbage when they should be thankful anyone even stays in their dirty hotel. Do not stay here!

Canal Loft stay

The loft was a perfect inexpensive getaway for a concert nearby. The room was small and didn’t offer any fridge, microwave, or shampoo. It was a bargain find, so it met the need for the short trip.

When we arrived everyone had a variety of problems which was a red flag. The new was dirty with bodily stains and hair. When asked for a change of sheets, they said they would be there right away but it took an hour after going twice to the front desk. When we got new towels they also had blood stains. We asked for 2 towels because there was two of us but instead we got little sheets because there was no more towels. We had to share a towel. It’s not on the fault of the staff but the owner. Not enough staff

My room did not have the hook for the latch key; it appeared like it was removed. I felt unsafe and used some items like the iron board and side table to barricade the door. The door stop alarm I brought had no batteries! Unfortunately it was late at night when I notices and I did not want to go back downstairs to request another room. On second thoughts; I should have. I did mention it to the front desk when I checked out.

Good value for money! Most other places at this price point have shared bathrooms so I would say if you're not finicky this is a good bet. Beds are extremely short, I'm 5'1 and was comfortable but anyone taller may have issues. Staff seems to be dedicated/hardworking but property owners are clearly cheaping out on maintenance, I had a charred, blown out outlet in my room that was capped instead of spending the $5 to fix it.
