Good stay at Club Quarters Midtown

Overall we had a great time in NYC. This hotel is in such a great location with subway stops and tourist attractions nearby, a short walk to Times Square yet the street wasnt noisy or too busy. The staff were friendly. The club room we had was small, NYC rooms tend to be but the bed was comfortable. They dont come in and clean or make beds, change towels etc other than on day 4 but you can request this more often. The public areas are beautiful but such a wasted space. They were clearly once a bar and restaurant and retuning these would be a huge asset to the hotel and would allow guests to enjoy those gorgeous rooms. As it is, they are quiet with just tea, coffee and water available for guests. Anothee small gripe was that I am a Hotels.com VIP member and also a member of the Club Quarters loyalty programme but received none of the advertised perks for either. It waa also our honeymoon and my 50th birthday and I mentioned this when booking but nothing was said to us on check in to congratulate us etc. I did complete a brief questionnaire on day 2 for Hotels.com and mentioned this and later that day wine and chocolates appeared in our room which was lovely but not sure it would have happened if I'd not said anything. Overall a good but not great stay but the hotel has huge potential. It is being refurbished so watch this space! NYC we will be back

Expedia should have informed me there was no operating "Bistro and Bar" in the Hotel, it apparently was being remodeled, which was precisely the reason I chose the midtown Club. In addition I was told by staff the remodeling was complete from the 10th floor upward which was not the case. My room number was 1106, remodeling was going on in room 1107 right next to mine. Too much noise. The Club Quarter Hotel should inform customers of these conditions as well as Expedia prior to taking their money for a reservation. I expect some form of consideration before I book any Club Quarter Hotel in NYC again, a city I frequent very often.

This is a Club Quarters, not a Club Med resort, so you dont book expecting top luxury. However, the decor is rather dated. Nothing particularly bad, just an aura of cheapness. A bit more attention to fittings in the room would have enormously improved the experience. That said, the hotel is under renovation. The downstairs lounge area already looks quite appealing. Hope they extend the work to the rooms. Despite paying for an upgrade to a suite, I was surprised to see that the advertised kitchenette is essentially a small wooden cabinet with a microwave. The bathroom still felt cramped, and the plastering in the bedroom looked like placeholders ahead of final fittings. Given the excellent location, I would stay here again if they touch up the rooms to match the pictures on the website.
The hotel was under renovation. Nothing disruptive at all but it was a bit jarring seeing duct tape across panels in the lift.

Great location and great price but place was under construction. The room was recently remodeled which was nice but had issues because of it. An industrial toilet that had to be flushed just right to work. Water leaking out of the shower door and 15 minutes to get hot water in the shower.

This is an older, smaller hotel. My room was right near the elevator which was all night long very loud and most of all I would actually feel the vibration into my room everytime it went up and down. Glad I only stayed 1 night.

Let the sun shine in

Although I love staying at The Club Quarters normally, the room I had this time had no natural light and I felt like I was in a cave. I do love the location though and give the hotel high marks for cleanliness and friendly service.
