My husband and I stayed for one night in a queen sized room. It was comfortable and well-appointed. However it was not as large or as well-appointed as the queen sized room at Royalton Park Avenue just down the street. Bathrobes were provided. The shampoo and conditioner and bath gel were nice, but there was no moisturizer. We very much liked the fact that there were free refreshments in the lobby. The pastries were very good. The free continental breakfast was fine, except that they only offered orange juice -- no apple or cranberry. What we particularly liked about the Hotel Giraffe was the small scale of the hotel and that one could comfortable hang out in the lobby area. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and I am glad that we finally decided to check it out, but I do have to say that the Royalton Park Avenue does tend to be better priced.

The balcony was an added plus to an exceptionally spacious, clean and comfortable room. The bathroom was large and well stocked. Plenty of storage for our luggage. 24 hour lobby access for unwinding after a busy day in the city. Polite and helpful staff.

Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. Hotel was centrally located to everything and very easy to walk or grab a cab. Love the 24-hour coffee, tea, hot coco and snacks downstairs that you can help yourself too. That was a very nice touch, and we used it daily from coming in for the cold weather outside. Our family will definitely be staying at this hotel next time we visit NYC. Would highly recommend to others.

Amenities lacking. Shower cap and what appeared to be a shoe shine mitt were the only things extra in the room. Honestly who really uses those 2 items?? Bottled water was in the room the day we arrived but not on day 2. Had to ask at her front desk for water. My daughter said the same thing. Rooms have definitely gone down hill since we stayed there last. Staff was great though! Very helpful and friendly.
