This was a beautiful property with a beautiful ocean view. The property was clean. Check in was easy and convenient. The property had a pool which was a nice feature. However I would be remiss to not mention the negatives we encountered. Then listing advertised a washer and dryer which was a primary reason for renting this property. The washer was broken, the spin cycle wouldn't work. Additionally, they only left us 1 bath towel per person for a 3 night stay. No pool towels available which were in the listing. Would have been less of an issue if the washer worked. I did try to remedy these with the property manager twice while we were there unsuccessfully. Communication from the management team was extremely poor, the worst I have encountered in my many stays using rental properties/companies.

What Cyclone?
When Cyclone Gabrielle came roaring down the North Island, the “High Tides Lookout” was the place to be! The sturdy building barely shuddered; the large window provided an excellent view of the roiling sea and terrified palm trees. We were grateful for the satellite television during our three days sheltering from the storm, although as Americans we did not fly all the way to New Zealand to watch the stupid Super Bowl for lack of anything better to do. No Irony Deficiency for us! The flat was beautifully designed, immaculate, and well equipped. The location was perfect. Our only issue was that the combination on the lock box did not work, an problem that was quickly resolved by a call to the Vrbo representative. We would recommend this accommodation in fair weather or foul!

Perfect location with an amazing property manager
Debbie was fantastic!! Travelling from Auckland with a little baby and debbie was amazing giving us an early check so she could rest before the rest of our day activities. The property is in perfect location with easy walking access to all amenities.
