Had an overall great stay in the El Nido accommodation. Please note that you can hear the train go by - it’s not too loud and that you can hear other visitors outside the room quite clearly so just be mindful of that with noise control. Besides this, hotel staff were friendly and responsive. Would recommend this accomodation.

The hotel itself is quite nice, the size of the rooms are what you pay for. There is a train track right next to the hotel, which can be noise when in your room, but it is not worth worrying about.

When booking the hotel, it was clearly stated that there was available parking (nothing about having to reserve or pay extra) which is what other hotels normally state. We had to park a 20 minute walk away from the hotel due to limited space. Place was also dirty and needs a good scrub. Very very small for the amount of money too.

Perfect for my visit’s purpose. Room is small as expected but comfortable. You hear every noise going on around you. Flush buttons on toilet were loose so kept filling cistern unless adjusted. Bed very comfortable. Water pressure in shower fantastic. Night staff was very friendly but others seemed merely functional. Disappointed that I had to go to reception to ask for towels. No apology that they weren’t in the room. Expensive for what you get but predicting that the room was more expensive than usual due to Mardi Gras being on. Hotel was a 10/15 minute walk to Belvoir Street Theatre which was really convenient. Seeing a play there was the purpose of my visit.

Positives: the beds were pretty comfy, and there is decent access to both Redfern and Central stations. Negatives: where do I even begin? My partner had to CLEAN the air con filter upon arrival, as it was filthy and inhibiting the machines ability to fucntion. The staff, although polite, were seemingly incompetent. We needed a new duvet brought to our room due to a spillage. The staff handed us, after us having to ask several times, a duvet and accompanying sheets, and essentially said good luck. No offer to make the bed, or even take the old duvet away! There was NO room service or cleaning during our stay. We had to beg for someone to take away our dirty towels and rubbish. Additionally, the selling points of Mexican street food and bar on site no longer exist, however this was not mentioned anywhere upon the listing nor check in. This accommodation is certainly NOT a hotel, and definitely not worth the $1200 we paid for our 3 night stay.

A glammed up budget stay, but clean and convenient

A great landing spot for a night. Room was teeny tiny but the bed was so comfortable. The hotel decor is so awesome and they have done a great job styling to make the space feel airy and larger than it is. The hotel is on a busy road and on a train line but that does make it convenient as it’s close to Redfern station and close to bars and cafes. Central is only a 10 min walk away, too. A bit of a shame the taco restaurant has closed as there were no options for a drink or snack in the lobby. You’re not going to want to stay here for a luxury staycation but as far as location, affordability and convenience goes, we’ll stay again.

It was a beautiful space. The beds were clean and so comfortable. The staff were incredibly pleasant I would recommend this place to everybody.

There were cockroaches at this place. I was moved from one room with cockroaches to another. It felt like staying at a private room hostel. I was very dissatisfied with my stay and didn’t expect the condition. There was also no hot water and the staff gaslit me by saying the water doesn’t get hot. It was. Incredibly frustrating to get any help or resolution.

my partner and I will use hotel hacienda from time to time as it’s the most convenient location to be for our visits to Sydney - it’s clean, the beds are soft and comfy, it’s convenient as hell with a short walk to Redfern station and it’s incredibly budget friendly. The prices on weekends are a bit of a rort but you literally will not find a place cheaper in Sydney over a weekend that is this close to everything. Staff are lovely and usually let us check in early if it’s a weekday or a Friday - we’ll be back many many many more times as the years rolls by.

The staff were nice, the rooms are simple, however, they could use some up keep and repair. The room I was in had a broken window latch. The TV light would constantly blink and wake us, so had to be unplugged. The wall also looked dirty under the tv, and could use a clean. Was saddened to find that there as no longer any dining at this hotel.

Perfect hotel and location to rest your head

Absolute perfect stay. Very good value and great location, only a five minute walk from Redfern station which gets you into the city centre in 12 minutes. Also connected with bus routes, short walk to Broadway which has tonnes of shops and restaurants. Hotel itself the staff were all so nice and accommodating. Our room was even ready at 9:30am which was a nice surprise. For the price you really couldn’t go wrong, the rooms are small but the aircon works well and the beds are comfortable after a long day out and about so that’s what suited us. It’s not a hotel you would be lounging in all day but served its purpose for us perfectly. Loved it!

Enjoyed my stay here. Staff were lovely and helpful and hotel was good location. Room was smallish but I already knew that when booking. The walls are pretty thin and you hear the trains, showers/plumbing and people opening and closing doors. Bring ear plugs. Enjoyed the tacos from the restaurant in the hotel too. I'd stay here again.

The staff were nice and helpful. Its has convenient location, close to both airport and central station. But the matres was uncomfortable and our room was next to storeroom including the towels and the cleaning staff made too much noise in the early morning. We could hear all the noises from corridor and the trains as well.
