The hotel was located close to Central station, only a short walk which was my main requirement. It was also located in a great food area close to china town and paddy’s market. Room was clean but quite small. The toilet had a smelly odour coming from it which I asked to be looked at but never was.

My wife and I were very happy with our stay at the GSH in Sydney. Fantastic location; super-easy check in process; clean and functional room; reception were very accommodating when we requested items for our room; and the price was exceptional.

I Like the convenience of this Hotel, that is why i Keep going back there. On this occasion 5/06/25 the room 102 was very disappointing. the aircon was cold 21 degrees and at 11 o'clock at night it was not our plan to go and disturb the staff. there was only 1 blanket on the bed and no bedspread. it was so cold in the room and the floor was cold to walk on even though it was carpeted. The bathroom was clean and well fitted out. I have never stayed in a very low room before, during the night we could smell food cooking. we were not happy. in the morning, we had different staff who were delightful,

Liked our stay, however we were on floor 7. When we returned after dinner, the elevator was out & the other one only goes to floor 6. Was most difficult trying to climb the stairs while being disabled. Thankfully the elevator was working the following morning.

Property was in the best location, Trains, Trams, shopping , food. Hotel was clean and service was great and beers cold. But, the bedding was horrific. Hard matress, soft pillows. Sleeping wasnt the best. All in all though pretty good. Will go back, but ask for an upgrade of the bedding.

Property was easily accessible from Central train station and trams were just outside. Plenty of eateries very close by and also a dining room on sight. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous and did not mind explaining the a/c system and when I requested an extra pillow, it was there within 10 minutes of asking. 4 * given as there were no sanitary bags provided and staff explained they did not provide them when requested.

On the whole a great location, beautiful and clean and lovely cheap brekkie - rooms a little small for long legged teenager - and a little tricky to navigate the space - but it would be ideal for one person. IT was a perfect option for us and we did enjoy our stay thank you.
