Rooms are clean, mattress and pillows are very good, and location is excellent. There’s parking next door (extra cost), but you’re very close to light rail, so no real need for the car once you’re checked in. Breakfast is also good. It is an older hotel and the layout of the rooms and the breakfast area reflect that. Most rooms have a view of other buildings, even at the Executive’ levels of 17 and 18. It’s a good, solid choice for a few days in Sydney if you can get it at the right price.

The accommodation itself was more than great but the the delay in checkin which was already. a 3 pm check-in pushed back to 5 pm . ) was not acceptable. Also. One out of three lifts were operating despite the excess of all new travellers all being delayed in check-in needing to be homed. The one lift took 20 minutes to use due to s family holding it up on the 8th floor. Some people caught the lift on its way up because they couldn’t get on it to go down. Definitely needs to be addressed so others aren’t disappointed with what could have been a very pleasant stay. No confidence in getting in and out after that! The linen service should be looked at as well. There should have been linen bc available for the day to set up the rooms on time.

Hotel is good overall. But really requires a major refurbishing. Room carpet looks and feels dirty. Bathroom needs reno. Breakfast is great but most are greasy so needs some healthier leaner options. The best part is the staff and service. Before when I stayed here, the low price made it good value. But it’s now more expensive and there may be other options if better value.

Sydney Central Hotel turned out to be a surprisingly lovely stay. I have to admit, after reading some reviews I was a little nervous, but we were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to a larger room, which was a great start. The room was clean, and parts—especially the bathroom—looked recently renovated. It would’ve been nice to have wine glasses in the room, and as it was our anniversary (which the hotel was aware of), a small acknowledgment would have been appreciated, though it seems that may have slipped their mind. The main downside was that our room was located right outside the pool area, which did get noisy at times. We had a balcony, but we couldn’t really use it as people at the pool could look straight in. Aside from that, everything else was generally positive. We did use the pool once, it’s lovely and warm but it can get crowded due to its small size. Overall, a pleasant stay with just a few minor drawbacks. We will definitely return again.

We really enjoyed our stay, the beds were super comfortable, the staff were wonderful, and the room service and breakfast options were delicious. There was only 1 thing that I would complain about - We tried to order from the "Sleepwalker" late night room service menu, which is stated to be available from 10pm to 6am, but it didnt seem to be available at all, which was dissapointing when we returned hungry from our night out at 2am. Otherwise everything was great and we will definitely stay here again !

On this occasion food from a previous guest was left in the fridge and there were no bags in the bins in the room. This was mentioned at checkout in which the desk staff apologised. Cleaning staff did appear to be hanging out talking in corridors rather than working on more occasion. I've stayed here many times in the past however this time was a bit average especially considering how expensive room prices are now.

Room and service were good, except for giving me two double beds (I travelled alone), in stead of a bigger bed. Upon checking out, the staff first could not find parking was included in my booking. It took him awhile to finally verify in the system that my parking was already paid for. Otherwise he would insist to charge me again for parking. Perhaps the hotel computer system should be more user friendly to avoid the troublesome experience.
