Fantastic location with easy access from Central Station on the L2 line to very close to the hotel 👌👍 Our fabulous room had a wonderfully large bathroom but sadly the positioning of the bath made the shower screen so small that water from the shower didn't stay within the confines of the shower screen.

The main entrance of the hotel is actually being used as a restaurant with dinning tables for customers . The moment you enter the restaurant, you automatically think that you are not in the right place as you are expecting a hotel reception/ lobby , not a restaurant. The entire decor of the hotel is dark coloured walls with murals and very dim lighting so it’s very difficult to see the 2 lift door on the left wall in the restaurant that takes you to level 1 of the building where the actual reception is. There is no clear signage or reception staff at the main entrance to guide the guests. There is just a small plaque on the wall saying “ QT hotel level 1 “ but it’s very hard to see. A hotel of this calibre should have clear signage and concierge at the main entrance. I was allocated the room 813 on level 8. The room was decent size and everything was reasonable as you would expect from a 4- 4.5 star property. However, there was no normal drinkable water bottles in the room. I managed to find a small glass bottle of sparkling water in the bar fridge but that was a $12 bottle. No complimentary bottle water for guests paying $400/ night. I tried calling the reception but the phone wasn’t working. So I went to the reception and was told that I can buy water bottles or drink the tap water from the bathroom. “ it’s not our policy to provide complimentary water”. Was the straight answer . I had to go to a 7/11 store near by to buy some water bottles for my stay.

This is the second time I've stayed at QT. It's a lovely hotel with funky interior design and a great location, Rooms are nicely designed and bed very comfortable. The only drawback in this room was the bathroom design - the bathroom is a shower room with the toilet right next to the shower which meant when you had a shower, the toilet was soaked, the loo paper was soaked, and the floor was wet so unless you used the towels to dry the toilet and floor you couldn't use or get to the toilet without getting wet. Nice bar and restaurant - great happy hour and great breakfast. Despite the bathroom I would stay here again and would also recommend to others.

I love everything about the hotel. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. My late check-out request was granted and that gave myself couple hours for Boxing Days shopping. Thanks a lot, team! The bed was super comfy! Soft yet firm enough and I slept like a baby. The room was very clean, spotless huge bathroom with a big bath tub. If the room is dark for you, just slide open the bathroom devider for stronger light. The hotel design from lobby to room is very special (one main reason for my choosing the hotel in the first place). If you like something out of the norm of cookie cutter chain hotels, this is for you. Food at 2 onsite restaurants were amazing at well. Strongly recommended to try during your stay. Would definitely stay again if/when I'm back to Sydney.

The QT was a fabulous place to stay. The alternative, gothic vibe, the art, the lovely staff and the little touches like the cocktails in the mini bar, were all fantastic. Plus the location is unbeatable, in the heart of the CBD. Will definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous room in a historical building - love the light that comes through from the neon sign at night. Excellent and attentive service from the staff and really loved the delish breakfasts in the parlor - a slice of Europe in Sydney !

It’s looking tired and needs a make over. The room was very dark. I couldn’t find my reading glasses and, after a 20 minute search, found them on the black bedside table. The drinks at the bar were hopeless by current standards (spend less on dry ice and more on fresh limes)
