Much of what you see of outside property photos in the listing is misleading, only a few rooms will have a view of the lake. The building is also dated and showing its age. Could very distinctly hear the people in the upstairs room talking and walking around. Air conditioning in living room smelled like old sweat making it unusable (room 15). No fan in the bathroom. Room is in public view of the staircase and pool areas so all curtains needed to be shut including in the bathroom at all times for privacy.

The room looked dated. The bed had a fluffy blanket and decoration pillows which seemed to me like they wouldn’t get washed after every stay. Better location having the lake and the yacht club in walking distance.

Location is good for activities in Lake Taupo and nearby shopping/coffee/bakery. Carpet,bedding and towels could use a little refresh but overall a nice stay.

Not so good. Staff was slow to attend the office. The room wasn't the one I'd reserved and had no view of the lake. The two outdoor pools were only tepid. Room decor needs replacements and the main light was falling to bits and dangling by it's electrical cord!
