Unfortunately our bed comforters were soiled. And the construction starting 5-6am was a bit early. But, liked hotel, enjoyed the heated pool, and will stay here again. Staff nice, understanding, accommodating. We liked having popcorn ready to snack on!

Good place for quick stay

Staff was really nice. You can tell the building is old but vey good renovations and its well kept. Amenities are okay, recommended if what you meed is just a good place to sleep and then spend all day outside. Around 40min walk to Downtown Victoria and a 35mins drive to the airport. The Floyd Diner restaurant was very good and the staff was super fun, friendly and amazing.

Solid 3* Hotel

The hotel was built in 1980 and renovated a few years ago. The staff was excellent, even though we were only there for an overnight. We stay in a LOT of hotels - from luxury for my business to 3* road warrior hotels that my husband stays in while he follows the wildfires for work. This one is a very good road warrior hotel. Our room was a 1-bedroom suite with galley kitchen, dining table, and 2 comfortable queen beds. The shower replaced a bathtub so it was big. There is a heated pool but we didn't have time to enjoy it. We didn't have time to enjoy the gym, business centre, or the common room with huge TVs and popcorn. Free wifi and parking in the city is also welcome. We walked along the Galloping Goose trail to downtown Victoria (about 30 minutes each way).

We were impressed with our stay at The Vic. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room has been nicely redecorated, bathroom in particular has a lovely rainfall shower and great light up vanity area. We would’ve taken advantage of more amenities had our stay been longer but we were only there for one night. It’s also lovely having Floyd’s for breakfast on site. Definitely would stay again.
