unfortunately, my wife and I decided to check out a night early and move on to our next city. This stay was disappointing... we found bugs in the room upon arrival. Our room was dusty, we had to open and shut windows all throughout the night to regulate the room temperature because the room was so hot. Even after turning down the heaters. Our pillows were paper thin, the bath faucet leaked non stop, and a light was burnt out in the bathroom. These inconveniences lead us to check out early. I have messaged the hotel to at least consider a partial refund for our stay.

If you are looking for a budget friendly place to lay your head and store your bags while you explore then Hotel Alpina is a good option. There is nothing fancy here and the rooms are tiny. The bed was super low to the ground and only one very flat pillow. The views of the mountains and the town were beautiful from the windows. You are in the perfect area for everything you need around you.

The room was clean and had a nice little deck to sit on. The elevator was broken and we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to our room. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on.... it was like sleeping on springs. The front desk guy was very nice.

The hotel suffers from sending you to a different (much nicer) hotel to check in, and then you have to shamble round the back to a wooden shack. But it's quaint, and the communal space (which you have to discover behind a nondescript door) is it's best but most concealed feature. Noisiest cleaning crew in the world having a reames conversations at 8am though.
