Mobile reception is a real problem at the Deco in Canberra. The concrete construction shrouds the site. We missed important business calls as a result.

This is a good place that has everything on hand. The Wifi strength in the room wasn't good though. The electronic buttons to lights etc takes a bit to get used to. Overall though, I'd stay again.

Wonderful stay at the Deco

Recommend the Deco for reasons of friendly and professional check in personnel stars to them for handling my requests with professionalism, tact and kindness. The house keeping staff are wonderful, trained well, make you feel at home. The Saturday morning breakfast staff were unhappy and sad, it was apparent because my request for a top up of a condiment was met with disdain and coldness for my entire stay in the breakfast room, that I needed to sit outside in the bar area for the rest of the time to feel at ease. 5 stars to the head chef who cared enough to step in and offer me what I had requested. Thank You to the head chef he is wonderful and polite. A little further training of the breakfast floor staff is vital for guests to be treated with respect and dignity.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Deco Hotel. The rooms were spacious with super comfortable beds. The reception staff were lovely and the location was perfect with the light right station directly outside the hotel.

1. Broken shower head 2. Broken air conditioning unit 3. Can’t open/close curtain half way as we have to open window because of broken air conditioning unit 4. No explanation on how mini bar works. Staff expect customer to read the A4 page instructions after 9:30pm checkin. 5. Very bad customer service at front desk when earlier checkout at 5:50.
