Staff was great, although I would not choose Rm 209 again as it was directly in front of stairs n delivery area so not as quiet as I hoped. Will definitely return tho!

Check in was ok. Room had a strong unpleasant musty smell. Restroom wall had stains next to the toilet.. location of elevator didn’t make it convenient if you had a room at corner of 2nd or 3rd floor you’d have to use the stairs.

Worse Experience with a Hotel

Check-in was fine but when I went to enter my room, the door would NOT open. Had maintenance come and asked if the check-in clerk told me I had to swipe the card and lift the handle upward. I said no and I had tried it down and then up with no luck. I went out to dinner and couldn't once again open the door. Called maintenance again and was let in the room. Then I notice there was no way to lock the door once inside the room and it was open a inch and wouldn't close tightly. So I just pushed the love seat up against the door and tried to sleep. I was fed up and will never stay at this hotel again.

A very basic stay for cheap price. Property looks old, so are the amenities. Small sized room, bed and bathroom. There was cigarette smoke smell in the room too. We just slept for the night before heading to the LAS airport in the morning. Wouldn’t recommend a longer stay at this hotel.

Nice, clean, spacious rooms for a good price.

We were very happy with our stay. Five years ago, we stayed here and found a bed bug, but this time was bug free, thank goodness. We were pleased that the carpeting had been replaced with vinyl flooring. The room was clean, spacious, and had plenty of counter space. The negatives involving the room were that the sheets were very scratchy and uncomfortable. Also, the walls were thin, and our neighbors were sometimes noisy. The parking lot needs paved, but putting off big expenses like that is what keeps the room prices low. We never ate at Bumbleberry Flats, but when walking by the windows, I could see that the portions looked big, and the food looked good. We like that the gaming includes the bubble (electronic) craps machine. That is our number one choice in casino games. The employees were all very nice. I especially want to complement Juliette. She had answered the phone when we called from home (pre-vacation) with some questions. She was extremely nice, bubbly, and helpful. Another employee that deserves a shout-out is a fellow who had the title of "engineer" on his uniform. We had a problem with our bike rack coming loose, and he was extremely helpful in bringing us an allen wrench of the appropriate size. We later asked somebody if they might know his name, and it sounds like it was either Rick or Daniel who helped us. Thank you! In conclusion, I highly recommend The New Pioneer. It's a good value and we will definitely stay here again.

Room was OK

It was cheaper than the other places in Laughlin who charge a resort fee. Room was OK, nothing special. Was surprised there was no refrigerator, and later found out you have to pay extra for one. Woman at front desk wasn't a very happy person, and it showed. Probably will stay elsewhere if I come back to Laughlin.
