Basic but clean hotel. Like a Holiday Inn. Pods from T5 to hotel are a v fast and convenient way to travel. You pull your suitcases down a path to the hotel . Takes about 2min walk from Pod station to hotel back entrance. Slept well , bed comfy. Shower hot. Breakfast well stocked and tasty. Thank you!

Room is tired, dirty carpets, scuffed furniture, no sound-proofing from the airport next door, you can hear everything going on in the corridor. No lifts. Forced to use self check-in and self check-out. The whole hotel needs a thorough update, perhaps re-build the entire thing. The bed was comfortable, the water hot, tea and coffee was provided. The staff were friendly and helpful. But I would not stay here for more than one night.

Stay was good however the automatic check in didn’t allow me to pay for my pod journey at the time so I may have to pay separately and at a higher cost?The guy on reception also changed my room to a ground floor one, which allowed me to manage my luggage. Clean comfortable rooms :)

The reception welcome was very warm by Haroon. I asked for a runway view and was given a spotlessly clean room, and my case was moved by Abbas..and lots of wonderful planes very close to my window. I had the extra spicy pizza which was hand finished. The dining area was fully booked, but the bar seats were just as good with the same menu.. next day I checked out and The impressive part were the Heathrow pods, connecting T5 directly to the hotel and back. I really recommend the Thistle. It was all wood and a bit scuffed, but all the staff were amazing and all areas were spotlessly clean

My impression of the Thistle Heathrow Airport is mixed. Unlike every other airport hotel - this “ Airport Hotel” doesn’t provide a complementary shuttle from the Airport to their site. Your choices are taking a taxi (L20- L25); or taking London Transport bus 423 that leaves from bus stop 6 from just outside of the arrivals hall at Heathrow Terminal 5. The third option “ an exclusive Pod” is unclear, but it appears to be an Uber that involves a long walk and costs L8 each way. From other Heathrow Terminals - you should expect long walks or infrequent shuttles. There is no elevator up to rooms on the second floor, and it’s 18 steps, which some people may find challenging. My personal experience was - I had requested a wake up call, that was not placed the following morning, which threw off my schedule by over an hour for my morning flight- although I missed having any breakfast - luckily I did not miss my flight. Hotel restaurant is mostly unhealthy burgers and bar food, with no effort for healthy options or non-bar food Hotel doesn’t mention these things in their description - it was overall - just ok- and for me it’s worth taking the Elizabeth Line or Heathrow Express that can get you into central London in 15-30 minutes from any Heathrow. Terminal. Hotel was just OK
