Been staying here a few times. I come back because it is peaceful, free parking and the staff are very accommodating. It is walking distance to the Sunny Dumpling House (highly recommended) and a service station for other necessities. They allowed a late checkout without charge and are friendly and courteous. Highly recommend staying here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel is was lovely find. Recently under new management it is a work in progress regarding opening the Bistro but hopefully it will open soon.. My room was upgraded from standard to a very spacious room with a separate bedroom and a spa. Very clean, very comfortable and unexpectedly quiet. I was on the ground floor facing Blackburn Rd, however there is a very solid concrete fence that provided an excellent buffer between the room and the traffic. It must be said there are a lot of rooms that do no face Blackburn Rd - if you prefer. The staff were very helpful and advised me that they are gradually upgrading the rooms but to my mind my room was perfect as it was. For the price a stay at the The Gateway Hotel, Blackburn Rd, Notting Hill is value for money. Safe, clean - quiet, a comfortable oasis in a very busy area. I highly recommend this Hotel - I will be back. Helen.

We chose this motel because we did not want be on a busy road with traffic noise. We got that but what we did not expect to be on the bottom floor of a 2 story motel where we could clearly hear the people in the room upstairs walking back and forth and dropping stuff and filling and emptying their spa and flushing their toilet well into the early hours of the morning. Not what we wanted after travelling 5 hours from NSW for an appointment and having to travel back next day with no sleep. Went to reception to tell them about it and to get our receipt but after ringing the bell and waiting 10 minutes, no-one appeared. Also shower is placed over the spa. NOT SAFE if you're climbing out of the spa, all wet, on slippery fibreglass. WILL NOT BE BACK AND DO NOT RECOMMEND.
