The Huntsman Cabin

The Huntsman Cabin is located very close to the heart of Warburton set on 15 acres overlooking the town. You could even walk to town if you choose to. If you are lucky you will get to see deer roaming the property, wallaby's sunbaking on the lawn and birdlife in abundance.

The Huntsman is simple but comfortable. It is safe, peaceful and tranquil. Leave your cares in the city and enjoy the serenity of bird song in the morning, peace and quiet during the day and silence at night.

The Huntsman cabin is located at the high end of the property and overlooks the town.

Reaching the cabin is via the main driveway.

The driveway is steep and requires a car with power to get you up the hill. All wheel drive or 4x4 will do the trick. A conventional car will also make it with steady driving. It's only short but quite steep.

We live in the big house down the hill but understand you are here to enjoy your privacy. We will not impede on your time unless required.

Communiction is via this platform.

Internet - I have provided a portable modem within the cabin. The connect instructions are in the manual in the cabin.

Kitchen - There is a microwave oven, toaster, kettle and a portable 2 hob cooker. Simple meals can be prepared in the kitchen area.

The cottage was set in amongst beautiful tree ferns and Australian native foliage. The wood fire place kept the cottage warm and cosy at night.Bed was very comfortable and kitchen had all the amenities you could require. The sink tap did start to drip on our last evening which we notified the owner of.It is decorated very eclectically and lighting is dim which suited us but may not suit all peoples.We enjoyed our stay exploring Warburton and the surrounds, ideally located for us.Our cat Macey spent the days sitting on her stand watching the parrots in the trees.

The Huntsman Cotttage, Warburton

We stayed three nights. This is a very unique cottage with lots of character. Very comfortable and well appointed. Everything you need for your stay. A very quiet position among the tall ferns and gums where you will experience beautifully natural surroundings. We hope to return one day. surroundings surroundings

Oasis in the Woods

Huntsman is an artistically appointed, eclectic slice of heaven. A private retreat among the ferns and trees, close to all that Warburton has to offer. The outdoor shower was the highlight of the stay - what an experience. Waking up to bird song and the laugh of the kookaburras was a treat. We felt so at home and did not want to leave.

Despite name no spiders, 5 stars.

We went to Warburton to get away and go for hikes in the hills and unwind, the cottage was a great base camp and it was amazing to come back to somewhere warm with a fire. The outdoor shower under a canopy of tree ferns was possibly our favourite feature as we are now trying to figure out the logistics of outdoor bathing in our house we are planning to renovate. After a day of hiking it was unparalleled.

A gem of a location

Situated in the woods amongst giant tree ferns our cottage was comfy and warm. Loads of walks for the active tourist and only a stone’s throw from the wineries of the Yarra Valley. The local cuisine was delicious and we even discovered an artisan baker nearby that sold great bread and pastries. What more could you want?
