I was travelling for a conference at The Alfred Hospital and chose The View because of the closeness to the hospital. I arrived later in the evening and the staff were helpful, efficient and obliging.
My room was on the 8th floor - unfortunately no view but that was not an issue for me.
The room was very clean and spacious although some repairs were necessary - toilet door came back onto my knees while sitting and the door was warped from the moisture however, these are just superficial irritations.
Fridge space is very limited.
My 2 day stay was comfortable.
Room service was prompt and tasty.
Breakfast was not included however, there was adequate options from which to choose.
Saturday night i ate at the restaurant - food was nice but my meat was quite chewy but cooked the way i requested. The young lady serving was knowledgeable and helpful but limited interaction when trying to leave at the end of the meal.
Other than those tiny little remarks, i would definitely stay there again if i needed to be in that vicinity on my next business trip.
I had thought there was a pool but this is not the case for at least 2yrs!
