The hotel room was not properly described. I thought I got a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms and a living area. I got a living area with a bed and a bedroom with a king bed with the bathroom in there. The people in the living area had to go into the bedroom to use the bathroom and the people in the bedroom would have to wake up the people in the living area to get out. No privacy I thought I was getting. It would have been better to just get two separate bedrooms with a conjoining door. The bedroom was hot because it doesn't have it's own air or heating unit. That was in the living area so we have to leave their door open to get some airflow in there. I think that needs to be in the description as well. I was quite disappointed. The staff was not able to change my accommodations because they were booked.

A quiet place to stay, with good location

I like this hotel when I visit the Monterey area because it's quiet, clean and not in the Row area but close enough to it. There's a nice public beach nearby and walking trails. The breakfast choices are very good too and it's included. The mobile service reception (for AT&T) is 5G+, so I don't even use the free WiFi because it's not a secure connection, and I mainly travel there for business. The only thing I have complains about is the bed. The mattress is on a hard side for me, and the pillows are the opposite - way too soft and provide almost no support for the head Other than that, it's quite good. However, if you travel by car, and have space for your favorite pillow, bring it with you to save you from the neck pain!
